While OptiLight has helped numerous people with dry eye syndrome, it isn’t recommended for patients who have experienced any of the following in the eye area:
- Previous ocular or eyelid surgery
- Neuro-paralysis within the prior 6 months
- Uncontrolled eye disorders
- Precancerous lesions, skin cancer or pigmented lesions
- Recent Eye infections
- Uncontrolled immunosuppressive diseases
- History of rashes or cold sores near the eyes
- Used photosensitive medications within 3 months prior
- Recent radiation therapy to the neck or head
- Recent chemotherapy
- History of seizures, epilepsy or migraines
