Dr. David Folman grew up in Fairfield County, and is proud to live and work in Norwalk, Connecticut. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. He previously completed a Bachelor of Arts at Skidmore College (Cum Laude), where he double-majored in political economics and music, followed by a post-baccalaureate pre-medical certification at Tufts University. His interests include scleral contact lenses, pediatrics, glaucoma management, nutrition, and ocular manifestations of systemic diseases (i.e. diabetes, hypertension, Lyme and other infectious diseases, autoimmune conditions, etc.). He is particularly passionate about the burgeoning field of myopia control, which aims to slow or prevent the development of nearsightedness using corneal refractive therapy (CRT), multifocal lenses, or pharmaceuticals.

As a certified affiliate of The Laser Center (TLC), Dr. Folman performs all the tests necessary to ensure that patients are good candidates for LASIK and PRK refractive surgeries. He performs all post-operative care as well.

Dr. Folman speaks English and Spanish. He lives in SoNo with his wife and baby daughter. In his free time, he can be found cycling around Westport, Darien and New Canaan or hiking all around Connecticut. He also loves cooking, playing music, and spending time with his family.
