Martin Arkin

Dr. Arkin graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and has practiced in Norwalk since that time.   He has been certified in post graduate training allowing him to practice Advanced Optometric Care which means that his patients experience the most advanced medical eyecare available today, including the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. As a past member of the board of directors for both the Fairfield County Optometric Association and the Connecticut Association of Optometrists, Dr. Arkin remains very active in all aspects of current optometric standard of care both in education and legislation. Dr. Arkin has been a member of the American Optometric Association since the beginning of his practice, and is a founding member of the Independent Doctors of Optometric Care (IDOC).  IDOC is an association that represents only optometrists practicing independently to the highest degree of full scope advanced optometric care. Corneal Reshaping Therapy (CRT) is a technique that eliminates the need for eyeglasses or contact lenses during all waking hours for many nearsighted people.  Dr. Arkin has been certified to fit these specially designed contact lenses. As a certified affiliate of The Laser Center (TLC), Dr. Arkin performs all the tests necessary to ensure that the patient is a good candidate for the Lasik procedure, and does all the post-op care as well.   AOA ContactLens vertdownload image (9) (1)
